Time your trip for Fashion Week (March/September) if you love fashion! Street style outside shows is incredible — Better than museum exhibitions.

Carnaval de Paris happens every March — Traditional parade through the streets with floats, costumes, music. It's free and way more authentic than tourist stuff. Starts at République and goes through Le Marais. The energy is infectious!

Brazilian community does Carnaval events in Belleville — Samba schools, street parties, proper feijoada. Check the Maison du Brésil facebook for dates. The percussion groups are world-class.

Dunkirk carnival is 3 hours by train and absolutely wild — Thousands of people in costumes throwing herring from balconies. Sounds crazy but it's one of France's biggest festivals. You'll smell like fish but it's unforgettable!

Even if you miss official events, the Brazilian restaurants in Belleville and République throw parties all season. Açaí bars turn into dance clubs on weekend nights!

First Saturday in October, museums and galleries stay open all night for free! Nuit Blanche transforms the city into a massive art experience with installations, performances, and special exhibitions from 7pm to 7am.

The best part is discovering spaces that aren't normally open to public — Government buildings, private galleries, unusual venues. Metro runs all night during Nuit Blanche so you can hop between arrondissements easily.

Plan a rough route but stay flexible — Some installations have long queues while others are empty. Bring comfortable shoes and a phone charger. Many cafés stay open late to serve the crowds.

It gets busy but the energy is incredible. Locals participate too so it's not just a tourist event. Check the official program online a week before — Over 100 venues participate.

June 21st every year Paris goes absolutely crazy with music! Every street corner, park, and metro station has live performances from classical to electronic to street musicians. All completely free!

The whole city becomes one giant festival. Bars and cafés stay open late, people bring wine to outdoor concerts, and even the metro musicians step up their game. It's like the entire city has a party!

Download the official app to see scheduled performances, but the best stuff happens spontaneously. Just wander around and follow the crowds. Avoid driving that day - streets get closed randomly for impromptu concerts.
