All the tourist weather apps are useless in Hong Kong because they don't understand the microclimate between buildings and hills. Hong Kong Observatory's official app shows real radar, air quality, and most importantly - actual typhoon warnings and what they mean.

When they issue Signal 8 or above, everything shuts down including MTR. Don't be the tourist wandering around wondering why nothing is open.

Pure Yoga's Central location (Level 3, Chater House, 8 Connaught Road Central) and Tsim Sha Tsui branch (Gateway Arcade, Harbour City) offer single-class drop-ins starting HK$280 for hot yoga or HK$350 for aerial classes. Both studios provide mats, towels, and harbor views from certain practice rooms.

The Central studio's evening classes face directly toward Victoria Harbour through floor-to-ceiling windows — Practicing warrior poses while watching Star Ferry crossings and IFC Tower lights switching on creates this uniquely Hong Kong zen experience. English-speaking instructors and international class formats make it accessible for traveling yogis.

Book via their app 24-48 hours ahead since popular sunset classes fill quickly. Central location connects directly to MTR via underground walkways, so you can practice then immediately access the entire Island Line system. Great way to find some calm and stretch after hiking Dragon's Back or exploring crowded markets in this intense city.
