Look, here's the thing about Lincoln Road parking — Everyone's fighting over garage spots while the side streets are sitting there free. 18th and 19th between Collins and Washington. Nobody's telling you this because they want you confused.
Read the signs though. Some spots have 2-hour limits during the day but after 6pm most restrictions end. Just saved me $200 in a week because I walked three extra blocks instead of paying $25/day like a tourist.
Everyone pays $30+ for lincoln road parking but there's free street parking on 17th street between alton and west avenue. Literally 2 blocks to the mall.

Found this place when looking for dive sites. Virginia Key Outdoor Center has kayak rentals for $20/hour instead of the $50+ you pay on Miami Beach. Way less crowded and you can actually see manatees in winter months.
It's at 3801 Rickenbacker Causeway on the way to Key Biscayne. Also rent paddleboards and have a small beach area. Staff knows the best routes for spotting marine life. Cash only which is annoying but rates make up for it.
