Nightlife Tips for Pattaya

Bars, clubs, live music, and evening entertainment

Walking Street charges 200 THB for watered-down cocktails that taste like disappointment. Meanwhile, Soi Buakhao—just two streets inland—serves proper beer for 80-100 THB in a much more authentic atmosphere.

The crowd at Soi Buakhao is refreshingly diverse: long-term expats who know Pattaya's secrets, Thai locals unwinding after work, and savvy travelers who've discovered where the real nightlife happens. Places like Tahiti Bar feature live acoustic sets most nights, and you can actually hold conversations without shouting over tourist chaos.

After midnight, Walking Street becomes a pickpocket playground with aggressive vendors and inflated prices. Soi Buakhao maintains its relaxed vibe throughout the night, making it perfect for those who prefer quality drinks and genuine interactions over tourist theater.

Pro tip: Start your evening at one of the quieter bars around 7 PM to experience the local rhythm before the energy picks up later. The street transforms beautifully as the night progresses, but never loses its authentic charm.

Tony's by Nashaa Club on Soi Buakhao is proper chill away from go-go madness. Drinks at reasonable prices and good atmosphere. Perfect for solo travelers who want to meet people without Walking Street circus.

Open daily 10pm-5am typically. Short walk from LK Metro or 40 thb motorbike from Beach Road. Mixed crowd of expats and tourists. Good music without being too loud for conversation.

Much better vibe than tourist traps where someone's always trying to drag you somewhere else.

Soi buakhao's main strip shuts down by 2am but side alleys hide family noodle stalls open until 4am serving proper tom yum noodles when walking street empties out. 50 thb bowls with actual heat not tourist versions

7-eleven near lk metro restocks around 3am if you missed dinner entirely. Naklua fishing boats start unloading fresh catch around 5-6am at the pier if you want to watch morning fish market action after an all-nighter

Soi 7 and 8 off buakhao sometimes have motorcycle food vendors making late rounds with som tam and grilled pork. Follow your nose and the smell of charcoal fires in the darkness

Walking street isn't just bars and clubs. The side sois have some decent street musicians especially on weekend nights. Soi 6 usually has a guy with a guitar who does solid covers of thai rock classics mixed with western hits.

Beach road near central festival often has small acoustic setups around sunset. Nothing groundbreaking but way better atmosphere than the blaring bar music. The performers rotate so you never know what you'll get.

Horizon bar on top of hilton has crazy happy hour deals 5-7 pm daily. Cocktails are buy-one-get-one-free starting around 340-450 thb and the view over pattaya bay is incredible for sunset. You dont need to be a hotel guest.

Order the mojito or whiskey sour - both properly made with fresh ingredients. With the BOGO deal you get solid value for premium rooftop drinks. Way better view than most other rooftop bars in the area.
