Tokyo photography golden hour - Shibuya neon reflections and Kabukicho blue hour timing

Golden hour in tokyo is tricky because of all the skyscrapers blocking light. Shibuya crossing looks best around 4-5pm when late afternoon sun hits the giant screens and reflects off the glass buildings just right. For senso-ji temple photos, early morning works but you need to be there by 7am before tour groups from asakusa station arrive.

Rainy day photography is underrated in tokyo - the neon reflections on wet streets in kabukicho red light district are incredible. Blue hour around 6pm gives you that perfect balance of neon signs and natural light for cityscape shots from tokyo skytree area.
