Dolmuş are shared minibuses that run fixed routes but work like taxis. Pay the driver directly, hop off anywhere along the route. Much more interesting than metro and only costs 18 TRY per ride.

Popular routes: Taksim to Beşiktaş, Kadıköy to Bostancı, Eminönü to various neighborhoods. Look for signs with destination names in the front window.
