Skip the Peak Tram tourist trap and hike Lugard Road instead. Start from Peak Road and follow the signs. 3.5km walk as part of the Peak Circle Walk with killer harbor views and way fewer people.

Best around sunrise when the city lights are still on but the sun is coming up. Perfect photo conditions and you'll have the viewpoints mostly to yourself. The walk to Lugard Road Lookout Point specifically takes about 20-30 minutes if you stop for photos.
