I am not waking up at 6am to see tsukiji fish market. Tokyo is actually perfect for night owls if you know what's open after jr trains stop.

Most tokyo museums stay open until 8pm on fridays. Department stores close at 9pm and have restaurants on top floors with city views. Big echo karaoke places are 24/7 and way more fun after 10pm when the salarymen show up drunk from nomikai parties.

Yokocho alley culture is peak evening vibes - tiny bars under jr train tracks in shimbashi that open at 6pm and get progressively more chaotic. Golden gai kabukicho doesn't get interesting until after midnight when tourist groups leave anyway.
