Avoiding crowds at Senso-ji Temple and Shibuya Crossing - early morning Tokyo timing
Since everyone asked (nobody asked), heres how to see famous tokyo spots without wanting to throw tourists into tokyo bay
Senso-ji temple asakusa: 6am or after 7pm. Local obaasan pray early before work, tourists sleep late. Revolutionary concept apparently for visiting actual functioning buddhist temple
Meiji shrine shibuya: weekday mornings practically empty except joggers. Weekend mornings have traditional shinto wedding ceremonies which are actually worth witnessing if you're respectful
Shibuya crossing: novelty wears off after 30 seconds anyway but if you must - lunch hour weekdays for maximum salary worker chaos or very late night for photos without tour groups clogging the hachiko statue
Apparently being "definitely not jeff" qualifies me to give tokyo travel advice now. Who knew fake names had such authority over yamanote line tourism
