Tourist crowds stop at Wat Khao Rang viewpoint but there's a proper trail continuing up. From the temple, look for the dirt path branching left.

45 minutes steady uphill through actual forest. Nothing technical but you'll work up a sweat. Rocky outcrop at the top has 360-degree views - way better than the crowded temple platform.

Bring water, go early. Trail gets brutal hot by 10am. Real shoes needed for loose dirt and rocks.
