Forget touristy night markets in beach areas. Phuket weekend market on chao fa road is where locals gather for Saturday dinner. Opens 5pm but real energy starts after sunset.

Khao soi stall near entrance serves incredible northern thai curry noodles for 60 baht. Grilled squid vendor in center section has the best char outside bangkok. Som tam lady makes it properly spicy, not the tourist version that barely tingles.

Gets packed around 8-9pm but the atmosphere is magical. Live music, families eating together, zero foreigners taking food selfies. This is authentic phuket after dark.
