Small beach just north of Patong with inconsistent beach breaks during monsoon season (May-Oct). While Surin Beach has more reliable year-round waves, Kalim offers solitude when conditions align - often dumpy with onshore winds but way less crowded than anywhere else.

Best at mid-tide with southwest swells when conditions cooperate. Board rental at small shop near rocks, 500 baht/day. Water stays warm year-round, no wetsuit needed. Think of it as the backup option when Surin gets too busy or you want total isolation.

Downside is limited parking but walkable from north Patong in 15 minutes along coastal road. Worth the trek for mellow vibes when waves cooperate - just don't expect Surin-quality consistency.
