Proper ramen in Paris — yes it exists
Paris ramen scene is way better than people think. Skip the tourist spots in Saint-Germain and head to the Japanese quarter near Opéra.
Dosanko in Rue Sainte-Anne — Tonkotsu ramen €13, gyoza €6. The broth is rich without being greasy, proper 12-hour cook. Cash only, tiny space, worth the wait. 🍜
Higuma near Châtelet — Bigger space, English menu, ramen €11-15. Their tantanmen (spicy sesame) is excellent, good heat level without destroying your palate.
Kodawari in Opéra — Most authentic but pricey at €18-22 per bowl. They import their noodles from Japan and it shows in the texture. Tsukemen here is incredible.
Lunch service is 11:30am-2pm, dinner 6:30pm-10pm at most places. The Japanese shops along Rue Sainte-Anne sell proper instant ramen too if you're cooking at home — Way better than convenience store stuff.
