Late night food in Paris that isn't Belleville kebabs
When you're hungry after 11pm in Paris and want something better than döner shops in République.
L'Ambassade d'Auvergne — Traditional French bistro open till midnight near Arts et Métiers, famous for cheese board and Auvergne charcuterie. Perfect after theater in Châtelet or late drinks in Marais. The atmosphere gets more intimate as night goes on.
Chartier Montparnasse — Belle époque brasserie on Boulevard du Montparnasse, kitchen open till 1am daily. Classic French onion soup and steak frites under gorgeous painted ceiling. Tourist-friendly but locals eat there too, especially late shift workers.
Clown Bar near République — Natural wine and small plates till midnight in former Belle Époque circus bar. Trendy but not pretentious, great for late dinner after exploring 11th arrondissement. The wine selection beats most Saint-Germain spots.
Asian quarter near Belleville stays lively late — Pho 14 and other Vietnamese spots on Avenue de Choisy serve hot soup till midnight weekends. Comforting after long night in Pigalle or République.
Most brasseries around Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon serve food late too. Terminus Nord area has options till 2am for international crowd catching early trains.
