Perfect weather (15-20°C), moderate crowds at Eiffel Tower and Louvre, hotel prices reasonable in République and Marais. May has longer days and spring energy around Luxembourg Gardens. September has warm weather with locals back from August holidays.

Good compromise: March-April, November

Cooler but pleasant weather, fewer tourists around Champs-Élysées, cheaper accommodation in Saint-Germain. April can be rainy but manageable for Métro travel. November grey but cozy café weather around République.

Peak tourist chaos: June-August

Expensive, crowded around Trocadéro, hot (up to 35°C with no AC in most Marais hotels). August when locals leave so some République restaurants close, but major attractions stay open. July has longest days but maximum crowds at Arc de Triomphe.

Winter: December-February

Cold (3-8°C) but festive atmosphere around Champs-Élysées. Christmas markets, shorter days (8am-5pm daylight). Hotel deals in République but some attractions have reduced hours.

Book accommodation 2-3 months ahead for May/September visits to Marais or Saint-Germain.
