Daytime Taksim is tourist chaos, but after 11pm it becomes Istanbul's real nightlife heart. Street musicians set up properly, late-night food stalls open, energy gets much more interesting.

Istiklal Street stays busy until 2-3am with locals bar-hopping and eating late dinners. Fish restaurants around Nevizade serve until midnight, always something happening in the side streets off the main drag.
