Saturday farmers market in Besiktas for local produce and breakfast spreads

Every Saturday morning, the area around Besiktas ferry terminal turns into a proper farmers market with vendors from villages outside Istanbul selling direct.

Best time is 8-11am before it gets too crowded. You'll find seasonal fruits, village cheese, fresh bread, and homemade preserves at prices way below supermarkets. Perfect for assembling a Turkish breakfast spread.

Look for the olive vendors - they have varieties you won't find in stores. Cash only, bring small bills. Market wraps up around 2pm but best selection is definitely morning.
