One of the world's most beautiful mosques, completely free to visit. About 90 minutes from Dubai and absolutely worth the trip. White marble glows at sunset, architecture is breathtaking.

Free guided tours every hour from noon to 8pm Sunday-Thursday, less frequent Friday-Saturday. Closed to tourists during Friday morning prayers. Modest dress required — Shoulders and knees covered, women need headscarf (they provide abayas if needed).

Best visited late afternoon for sunset lighting. Bus from Dubai's Al Ghubaiba station or drive via E11 highway.
