Most visitors head to Jumeirah Mosque, but the Iranian Mosque in Satwa offers equally beautiful architecture with zero crowds. The Persian-style tilework and calligraphy are masterful. Free to admire from outside, and the surrounding Satwa neighbourhood gives you a glimpse of Dubai's working-class Iranian community. Best light for photos around 4pm.
