Post-Sungei Road vintage treasures — new hunting spots in Chinatown Complex basement

Sungei Road thieves market permanently closed but vintage hunting isnt dead in Singapore. Chinatown Complex basement level (335 Smith Street, Chinatown MRT) has vintage outlets with 1960s-80s Singapore memorabilia, old Peranakan tiles, vintage watches.

Check Little India Arcade narrow alleyways (48 Serangoon Road, Little India MRT) for rotating vintage stalls. Various shop-house basement areas in Tanjong Pagar still have finds. Prices range S$10-200 depending on condition and rarity — Old Singapore Airlines posters, colonial-era books, Nanyang pottery.

The thrill of hunting for Singapore heritage pieces continues, just in different shophouse locations now. Best hunting weekdays 11am-3pm before tourist crowds hit Chinatown. Follow @sgvintage Instagram for pop-up market announcements.
