Quiet spots for introverts — escape Old Town Square madness in hidden Prague gardens

Prague can overwhelm with constant crowds around Old Town Square and Charles Bridge. As someone who needs regular people breaks, I've found perfect spots to decompress and reset.

Wallenstein Garden (Valdštejnská zahrada) near Lesser Town is free and usually empty weekdays. Beautiful baroque gardens with peacocks, plus quiet benches for actual thinking. Open April-October, closed Mondays.

Františkánská zahrada (Franciscan Garden) is a peaceful walled garden near Wenceslas Square, accessed through unassuming passageways from Jungmannovo náměstí. Perfect for coffee and reading away from tourist chaos.

Municipal Library (Mariánské náměstí) reading room has huge windows overlooking city and complete silence. Don't need to check anything out, just find corner and breathe. Café downstairs also peaceful if you need coffee.
