Cha Yen Thai Tea at Jalan Masjid India — authentic preparation worth the queue

This famous stall operated for years doing traditional Thai tea with proper technique — No shortcuts or instant powder. They would pour tea between metal containers to create that perfect foam layer.

RM3.50 for a cup that would cost RM12 at a hipster café. The condensed milk was perfectly balanced, not overly sweet like most places. They also made excellent Thai coffee using traditional sock filter method.

Unfortunately, this legendary stall has closed after years of serving authentic Thai tea to locals and visitors. The technique and quality it represented remains the gold standard for judging other Thai tea vendors.
