After visiting temples all over Asia, this six-tiered Chinese temple on Robson Heights is my favorite in Kuala Lumpur. The architecture is stunning - traditional pagoda style with intricate carvings and colorful decorations that photograph beautifully.

What I love most is how calm it feels compared to Batu Caves. You can actually enjoy the spiritual atmosphere without fighting crowds. The temple grounds have lovely gardens and the city views from up there are spectacular, especially at sunset. Free admission and plenty of parking spaces, which is rare in KL.

Take the elevator inside if the stairs are too much - I appreciated that thoughtful touch. The temple is dedicated to the sea goddess Mazu, and there's usually a gentle breeze that makes it feel cooler than street level. Perfect for seniors who want culture without the physical demands of Batu Caves.
